Is anxiety taking over your life? Do racing thoughts, constant worry, or a sense of dread feel like they are controlling your life no matter how hard you try to push through? Anxiety is a persistent struggle that can impact your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.  Depression often goes hand in hand with the roller coaster of anxiety. It may even feel like it alternates between the two. Depression is an entity of its own. While medical treatment can play a role, counseling addresses the deeper emotional, psychological, and underlying causes. Let’s take a step towards resolving this

PTSD/Unresolved Trauma

Trauma leaves deep wounds some visible, many hidden beneath the surface. It can stem from military service, first responder work, high-pressure careers, or from personal experiences of abuse, neglect, crisis, or profound loss. The weight of the past doesn’t just linger in memories; it can shape your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even your faith. PTSD and unresolved trauma can make you feel trapped in cycles of fear, anxiety, anger, or numbness. It may steal your sense of security, make joy feel distant, and leave you questioning if healing is even possible. God’s healing is greater than your pain. He sees every scar, every tear, and every silent battle you fight (Psalm 34:18). You were never meant to carry this burden alone. Christ offers restoration for the brokenhearted, peace for the restless, and freedom from the past (Isaiah 61:1). Your story isn’t over. God is still writing it. Hope is ahead, and true healing is possible.

NWCC will help you navigate finances and stewardship, understand the impact of family backgrounds, and clarify roles and responsibilities in marriage. You will be better prepared to cultivate emotional, spiritual, and physical intimacy while aligning life goals, interests, and future dreams. This journey isn’t just about preparing for a wedding, it’s bout building a resilient, Christ-centered marriage that stands the test of time. Invest in your future together and lay the foundation for a love that lasts a lifetime.

IDENTITY_edited.jpg

Identity/Gender Questions

In a world filled with confusion and shifting definitions, your identity is not found in culture, feelings, or past mistakes, but in Christ alone. The Bible declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), and redeemed for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10). Clarity begins when we align our understanding of self with God’s design, embracing His truth over the world’s distortions. Whether struggling with self-worth, gender identity, or purpose, biblical counseling offers clarity, restoration, and a firm foundation in Christ. Who does God say you are? Let’s discover together.

Substance Abuse

Breaking Free from Addiction. What starts as casual use can quickly spiral into dependency. The cravings grow, responsibilities slip, and soon, the drug feels like a necessity just to get through the day. Many try to quit but find themselves trapped in the cycle. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Through biblical counseling, we'll address the root of addiction and walk the path to true freedom-one step at a time.

Stress/Burnt-out

Weary, Overwhelmed, and Stuck? There is Hope. Stress, frustration, and exhaustion can leave you feeling trapped, like you are running in circles with no way out. Your mind feels cluttered, your heart burdened, and your spirit drained. But God has not called you to live in exhaustion. He offers peace beyond understanding (Philippians 4:7), strength for the weary (Isaiah 40:31), and a way forward when you feel stuck (Psalm 37:23-24). You are not alone in this battle. Let’s meet to help you surrender the weight to Him, and step into renewal, clarity, and rest. With God, there is always a way through.

First Responders/Frontline Workers

As a first responder, you face intense pressure, trauma, and stress daily. The weight of the job can take a toll on your mind, body, and spirit, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. I offer biblical counseling designed to help first responders process their experiences, manage stress, and find renewal through faith. Whether you are struggling with trauma, burnout, or the demands of the job, you don't have to carry the burden alone. Your service matters so does your well-being. Reach out today for Christ-centered support.

ANGER.PNG

Anger Management

Anger can burn bridges, break hearts, and leave scars—on you and those you love. Left unchecked, it destroys relationships, clouds judgment, and fuels regret. But the Bible says, “Refrain from anger and turn away from rage! Do not give in to it; it only leads to harm” (Psalm 37:8). At Northwest Christian Counseling, we help you break free from destructive cycles and transform your anger into strength, wisdom, and peace. Don’t let anger control your life—take control with biblical truth and real change.

Sexual Abuse - Unresolved

Sexual abuse leaves wounds that run far deeper than the surface—wounds that time alone cannot heal. Whether buried in childhood or cloaked in confusion, it leaves deep, unseen scars that can shape our lives without us even realizing it. You may remember it only in flashes, or not at all. You may have pushed it down so far it feels like it never happened. And yet, the symptoms remain—crippling anxiety, shame that doesn’t make sense, difficulty trusting others, or an emptiness you can’t explain. That’s the quiet power of unresolved trauma. But God understands your deep sorrow and pain. He sees what others missed. He hears what was silenced. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). At NWCC, I believe your story matters—including the parts you struggle to face. I offer a safe, sacred space to name the pain, process the past, and begin the journey toward wholeness.

Through biblical truth, compassionate counseling, and the healing presence of God, I help you reclaim what was lost: your voice, your identity, your peace. You are not what happened to you. You are who God created you to be—and healing is not just possible, it’s promised in Him.

My
Approach

Get to Know More

Northwest Christian Counseling is dedicated to providing biblical, professional, and compassionate service to help you navigate life’s challenges. My approach is to create a safe, warm, graceful, non-judgmental, and unbiased environment. Your situation is between you and God, and my duty is to walk alongside you with compassion and the Truth of God’s Word. As a seasoned counselor, I am committed to walking alongside you and providing guidance, useful materials, and assignments that save time, conserve resources, and help mitigate your circumstances.

My counseling strategy includes utilizing the Arno Profile System (APS), a temperament analysis developed by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA), to provide personalized and faith-based insights for clients. APS is designed to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their God-given temperament, which influences their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. While traditional personality assessments focus on learned behaviors, the APS identifies inborn temperament traits, providing a foundation for understanding how individuals naturally respond to life’s challenges, stress, and relationships. By understanding their temperament, individuals can work toward healthier relationships, improved communication, and greater self-awareness.

As a dedicated counselor and instructor, I integrate biblical wisdom with professional counseling techniques to offer a holistic approach to emotional and spiritual well-being. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or seeking guidance in your faith, I am here to walk alongside you with grace, understanding, and practical tools for lasting transformation. Healing begins with a conversation. I invite you to take the next step toward hope and restoration. Let's navigate this journey together.
